The challenge

From loan activity to financial posting

Loan accounting can become difficult to trace when users recapture totals, maintain separate debtor schedules or reconcile entries without a clear link to the source account.

AstechLMS retains detailed customer, facility, loan and transaction activity. The integration then creates Sage 300 General Ledger journals from approved transaction mappings.

Capabilities

Financial integration capabilities

Posting flow

How the posting flow works

1

Lending transaction

AstechLMS records an approved account event such as a disbursement, interest charge, instalment, receipt, adjustment or settlement.

2

Mapping rules

The configured transaction type identifies the required accounts, company, segments, detail level and processing rule.

3

Journal creation

AstechLMS prepares the General Ledger journal in the approved detailed or consolidated structure.

4

Web-services exchange

The integration sends the journal to Sage 300 and records the processing result according to the implemented interface design.

5

Review and reconciliation

Finance users review the General Ledger entry with access to the underlying debtor and account detail retained in AstechLMS.

AstechLMS retains

Debtors subledger

  • Facilities, loan accounts and limits
  • Interest and repayment schedules
  • Charges, receipts and account transactions
  • Arrears, collections and settlement detail
  • Debtor-level statements and transaction history

Configured posting
